O is for

OUR TUNE!

Scrapbook layout is on yesterday's post.

So, O for Our Tune. Would you believe Simon Bates still does the morning Our Tune on Smooth Radio? I used to listen to that in the 80's and there was some real weepies on it, still is. Jeff produced a cassette with it on many years ago. I wonder if kids still do that? On a CD, or ipod. Hope so, because it's such a good feeling. Although not so much when Jeff found the one that Paul had made me, many, many, moons ago - oops! In my defence the songs were good! Anyhow, he said the words described how he felt. It was the song for our first dance at our wedding. It was obviously on yesterday's list. And it still makes me feel warm inside every time I hear it. I did think about just linking to a recording of the song but the lyrics are just as important. So here is the lyrics .......
Some Kind of Wonderful by The Drifters
Wonderful wonderful
Wonderful

All you have to do is touch my hand
To show me you understand
And something happens to me
That's some kind of wonderful
At any time my little world seems blue
I just have to look at you
And everything seems to be
Some kind of wonderful

I know I can't express
This feeling of tenderness
There's so much I wanna say
But the right words just don't come my way
I just know when I'm in your embrace
This world is a happy place
And something happens to me
There's some kind of wonderful

I know I can't express
This feeling of tenderness
There's so much I wanna say
But the right words just don't come my way
I just know when I'm in your embrace
This world is a happy place
And something happens to me
There's some kind of wonderful

 Some kind of sweet lips
Some kind of warm eyes
Some kind of soft sigh
There's only some kind of wonderful

Oh yeah wonderful...

And if you're still reading and want to hear it, you can find it here :)

  3. It's a beautiful song! My wedding song was Ave Maria (!) not that we chose it. Our DJ never bothered to ask and we forgot to tell him so we got Ave Maria... it always makes us laugh when we hear it :D
