G is for ...

Gift List - Like we need more stuff! So we've asked people for donations to Cancer Research and I'm planning on decorating a box that guests can pop pennies and pounds in over the weekend. Also going to have a manzanite tree next to the collection box with some hanging hearts of the people that have lost, and won, the battle against cancer.
Gifts for Guests - Oh wow! Well let's just say I wish I hadn't started - cos of course I'm making everything by hand - except for the bottles of wine - although they might get a personalised wine label depending on time constraints! For weddings it's usual to give them to the main party - mothers; bridesmaids; best man; and ushers. For our do I've made a small personal gift for all my girlfriends that have helped us through all the cr*p over the years. All the adult guests are getting a glittered glass and wine charm - yes, making them myself - eek I've decorated the oldsmaids shoes - but not letting them keep them LOL The dresses they can have, but the shoes are good samples for my business :) Oh .... these photos are the first actual sneak peeks!
Guest Book - Not sure yet that we will have one, but if we do, will probably have some hearts that people can write on that I can add to the scrapbook I will no doubt be making afterwards LOL!

  3. Friends, who recently married, generously donated to charities. That is such a thoughtful way to mark your important day.

  4. Handmade gifts are so special. It's a lot of work, but the keepsake is more than worth it.
