#100 Happy Days

Have seen a lot of people doing this 100 Happy Days Challenge and I think I'm going to give it a go. I will probably do most posts on my Twitter or Instagram accounts, but being the devil I am, just to mix it up, will throw some on here as well. So here goes ........

Day 1. Today I am happy that I have such lovely friends, like Debbie. We went up to visit her and her new baby last week - hadn't cuddled a 6 week old for so long - almost made me broody! Almost please note! Apparently I'm baby Amelia's Fairy Godmother :) Loving that title!
Anyhow, she wrote such lovely things about me that I actually welled up ...... which were promptly stopped when Benjamin suggested I was a loser LOL! ..... so that made me even happier. Have a wander over to Debbie's blog right here  - she's 10 followers off of 1,000, so maybe her blog will press your buttons :) Enjoy!

Remembering D-Day

This is from my Grandad's diary 70 years ago today. Thinking of all the heroes, whatever role they had, in helping us have our freedom today.

Here we are again - well, actually, not again - missed last months, but then I did have the excuse of it being two days after our celebrations and hadn't even considered scheduling anything! As regular readers can tell - what, only 2 posts last month? Unheard of! I usually have verbal diarhoea, can you tell? lol!

So, writing sort of disappeared over the past few months, all my time was spent preparing for our do so planning and prepping and creating and creating and .... yeah, well you get the picture. But this month I plan to do a final edit on my work. Then, as July looks like it might be the quietest month this year for me so far, thinking of doing the July NaNoWrMo! That really did focus me last November, and I'm hoping having that to aim for will refocus my writing :) Wish me luck!

And if you've no idea what I'm talking about then follow this linky-link :)

Off to start making up on lack of blog visiting during May - The number 36 to visit just popped into my head .... 10 would have been a better number, but hey could have been triple figures! Laterz xx

Monday Makes

So those 17 pairs of shoes I mentioned yesterday that I had to decorate in 2 weeks?! Well they kept me busy that's for sure, also learned how to cover shoes in material - now that was a steep learning curve but got there after numerous tests to find the right glue, cutters etc. If you imagine that not one of the pairs looked like the end result then you can imagine the work involved .... hours and hours!
I was really pleased with the 3 cream material pairs - and have already gone out to get some more material to create some more :) I loved the idea of all the bridesmaids having the same colour shoes - the pink/purple - but in the girls individual style of shoes. The photo doesn't really do them justice, when the sunlight caught them they glittered so much. But my favourite were the green pair, which is surprising as green is probably one of my least fav colours, but for this particular look, it was perfect :)

May catch-up

Time to pull back the curtains, open the windows and dust my blog. Been maniacally busy this month and poor blog got neglected in the process. Hopefully caught up now! So what have I been up to?

Well, our vow renewal at the beginning of the month. Photos to follow. Perfect except for the lack of Joe and the lack of a dress!! Seriously, what sort of business lets a 'bride' down? Will elaborate in my posts during June.

Had an order for 17 - yes 17! - pairs of shoes for one wedding so that took up half of May - seeing as they were for a May wedding. Photo tomorrow.

Have joined the A-Z Road Trip, and as soon as I've visited all the blogs of people that commented during April will start travelling :)
Lunch with Ariane here :)
My BFF came round and we drank wine and put the world to right.

Joe is out! Sentence is done. He has a job to go to and has somewhere to live. Hopefully he's older and wiser and won't make any more stupid decisions.
Oh, had a birthday :)

Had a whinge at Clinton Cards........
Hello, I went into one of your shops yesterday with the intention of buying a Christening card. The reason I write is my disappointment at the total lack of relevance every design bar one had regarding the occasion. I found one card with a church on the front, and that was the closest connection to Christ - the giveaway is the word Christening! I appreciate in our diverse society cards should meet all needs BUT if someone has chosen a Christening then it wouldn't seem unreasonable for the card to follow a religious theme. I would love to know what relevance animals, stars and bootees have to do with a Christening?
For our renewal celebrations we asked not for pressies but for donations to Cancer Research - go our guests!!
Went to see Blood Brothers with Joy and Mireille - my fav live musical ever. Seen it about 4 times and still get sad at the end *rolls eyes at being such a softie*
