Scrapbooking

I have been scanning my scrapbook pages for preservation. It's not a pleasant thought but fires do happen, and most things can be replaced, my scrapbook layouts can't. I also have a ton of photographs dating back to the 1930's that I want to scan. I need to find somewhere 'safe'. Computers crash, DVD's break and I lose memory sticks - in our house they do anyway! Plus IT moves on and becomes obsolete - I'm thinking of our collection of Disney videos?!

So, while I decide, here seems as good a place as any. This is one album detailing a few of the main highlights of our life together, some are new layouts, some are 10+ years old!

  1. I never thought to do that. Of course I have so many scrapbooks dating back to Jr. High in the 70s that it would be impossible and daunting to attempt. I'd get an external hard drive if I were you. I had about 6 memory sticks full of stuff and the external solved that problem. Now everything's in one place. I transfer photos from my laptop about once every couple of weeks. The permanent folders that I keep on my lappy get copied to the external too b/c they are always being updated.

    1. You know I never thought about that JoJo, it's an excellent idea, would make perfect sense to put them all in one place like that :) xx

  2. What a good idea. You don't want to lose your memories to the unforeseeable. Look at those cute pictures. You can't let anything happen to them :)
