IWSG

Another month has gone and another month without writing. It was actually a calm, relaxing, non-eventful month which in our life is a rarity. I mean we did a lot - school holiday and Jeff had 3 weeks annual leave - but there was no stress involved as has become the norm over the last few years. Who am I kidding? Over the last 25 years! And I think therein lies the problem. As issues have eased so have I. I work much better with deadlines, you know 'I have to get this written before Thursday because Jeff's working all weekend, Ella's got a review, Ben's got football, want to visit Joe in prison, etc!' But with no deadlines I keep thinking 'oh, I'll do it tomorrow!' The less I do, the less I want to do. Anybody else like that?

Anyhow, starting this month everything is getting manic again - teaching, fostering course, marketing, so hopefully, with renewed busy-ness (ok, maybe not a real world but works!) I'm anticipating great things and lots of writing done! Plus I really want to know if my hero sorts his life out - I still haven't decided!

  1. Of course the hero has to sort his life out. RIght? ;)

  2. It's shocking how fast this summer went! Now all my friends with kids are scrambling to get back into the routine of school and sports.

  3. It goes by so fast, for sure.

Stay positive. Even if you get a little done, it's at least something. :)

  4. It's gone so fast, stepping out of your hectic routine for a while will mean you come back refreshed and ready to sort out your hero!

  5. Being busy is how you get things done. Keep being busy but remember to take some off time.

  6. I find it is easier to get things done with a deadline, even self-imposed ones. Good luck!

  7. Life happens and there isn't much we can do about it, except hang on and try to get some writing done. Good luck! :)

  8. The less I have to do, the less I get done. Not sure why that happens that way, but I can relate.

  9. Donna - I'm hoping, but still not sure!
JoJo - The school hols always fly by - but then, so does term time, with sports practice, dance, youth clubs!
Thanks Mina - I am feeling more positive this month than past - I'm hoping in Sept to walk the walk, not just talk the talk as in past months lol!
Suzanne - I am def feeling more refreshed, it was a lovely break :)
Sheena-Kay - I am being spoiled this month with a girly crafting weekend and a friend coming to stay for a few days. So burnout will be because of fun excess hopefully :)
Thanks Cherie - planning deadlines today, everything crossed!
Mark - life always gets in the way for me, I'm beginning to think I need to just get up earlier while the house is still quiet and try then!
Glad it's not just me then Alex :)
