I like the idea of renewing wedding vows. My husband and I were flat broke when we got married, so we never got a honeymoon. I've toyed with the idea of eventually doing something like this and following it up with a nice little vacation.
ReplyDeleteThis looked like so much fun! I did a lot of the decorations from my wedding, including the invitations, menus, the souvenirs, and the seating cards where I gave every family/couple a title, such as "The Martinez Mayhem" and the "Dynamic Diaz Duo". Everyone loved those. We're no where close to 20 years, but maybe I'll do a halfer just so I can get more DIY decorations! Happy Deja Vu!
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I realized that I wasn't following this blog. I have now remedied this. You all really did it up big for the wedding renewal and it was good that you had so much help from your friends.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I just celebrated our 17th anniversary. Maybe we should plan on a renewal ceremony for our 20th.

Thanks everyone :) I can thoroughly recommend having a renewal - having your kids and long standing friends around, it was perfect :) If I'm honest probably enjoyed it more than our wedding, much more relaxed and having made everything it felt so much more personal :) xx
ReplyDeleteI loved your renewal post! Congrats on nearly 25 years together :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2015- together for 27. Ack- has it really been that long?! I was considering an ambush renewal when we're in Grand Cayman with family... then again... maybe not...
I'm rather late (13 days late? Crikey!) in getting around to the Deja Vu bloghop participants. I've been soooo busy...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful renewal ceremony! Great pictures!
Congrats!!
It's always so wonderful to see couples renewing vows! Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your happy news with us!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie, glad you enjoyed reading about it, it was wonderful :) xx
