If you’d like to know about my own injury, here’s a link to the inside scoop :) But my daily A-Z posts
are more general and informative, just so, if the time comes, you know what
someone is going through because, trust me, it’s not ‘just a broken foot!’
STITCHES (or sutures) - A loop of thread to join the edges of a wound or surgical incision ...The surgical wound clips or stitches may be removed while in hospital
just before going home, but on occasion they will be removed after
discharge from hospital by a GP or a nurse. ........
Depending on the type of wound and the individual doctors preference these may need taking out, but if you're lucky they are absorbable (yes, that is a word!). Although you can also be unlucky and be allergic to the absorbable type, that would suck!
Definition from Oxford Dictionary
I hope you weren't allergic to the absorbable ones.
