A-Z Journey of a Broken Foot (Lisfranc Injury)

If you’d like to know about my own injury, here’s a link to the inside scoop :) But my daily A-Z posts are more general and informative, just so, if the time comes, you know what someone is going through because, trust me, it’s not ‘just a broken foot!’

MR GOUGOULIAS – You won’t always get a choice, but if you do, make sure your Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon is very experienced with foot injuries. It’s a complicated bundle of bones, and nerves down there - think how your foot is supposed to be connected to every part of your body in Reflexology; there's 22 bones and 36 joints in that small area!
I had no choice as I was taken in as an emergency but fortunately ended up with this lovely man, who relaxed me completely, and happened to know his stuff too! If you're interested here's a linky-link to learn a bit more about the man :)

  1. A good doctor is more than worth his weight in gold, that's for sure!

    1. Absolutely! I've heard all sorts of stories about orthopaedic surgeons that really don't know anything about this injury - I thank the Universe everyday for getting Mr G :)

Love to hear from you. Please leave your thoughts below. Suzanne xx
